Become Involved - At Your Own Pace
Persistent hunger and food insecurity in America is a issue for which Jesus has given us clear guidance - "For I was hungry and you gave me food ..." White Lake UCC sponsors at least six visits of the Mobile Pantry annually. Volunteer helpers are always needed for this important ministry. Our next pantry visit is Saturday, March 21, 2026.
We gather for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:30 in our accessible building on South Mears. Expect to find folks participating in a casual liturgy of music, teaching and prayer. What you wear really isn't important; a few may prefer a shirt and tie, or a dress, but most will be in casual attire.
Young folks attend the service, including a special "Children's Time" segment; and afterwards they attend classes in their Sunday School rooms.
Following Sunday Service, most everyone heads to the Fellowship Hall for "coffee and..." including the lively art of conversation.
If you are inclined to help out or have a special skill, there is always something that needs doing at the church.
On Sundays, for example you could volunteer to be a Liturgist (reading the Scripture,) or in-season, the flower beds in our Memorial Garden need tending, or maybe you play an instrument. These are just a few of the possibilities.
If any of these match your abilities, the place to start is to reach out to Pastor Donna. (231) 893-3265.
